Curves in MS Word

Have you ever wanted a curved line in your MS Word document? Well, with a little tweak here and there you can do it!

Follow the steps below:

  1. Launch MS Word if it is not already open.

  2. Make sure the Drawing toolbar is displayed.

  3. If the Drawing toolbar is not displayed, follow the steps below:

  4. Click on View | Toolbars and select Drawing, or right click on an empty space on the toolbar areas and select Drawing.

  5. On the Drawing toolbar, click on AutoShapes. Word will display a menu of different shapes.

  6. Click on the Lines option. Word will display a palette of different variations of lines.

  7. Click on the Curve option. You will see it at the bottom left corner of the palette.

  8. Click at the point in your document where you want the curve to begin.

  9. Click at each point where you want the line to curve.

  10. When you reach the place where you want the curve to end, double-click.

You may have to fiddle with it a bit to get exactly the curve you desire, but keep at it.

The curve will be treated the same as any other graphic image in your document.
