Want to Work for Sean "Diddy" Combs?

Sean "Puff Daddy/P. Diddy" Combs is looking for a new assistant, but don't bother sending him a typed resume. The rap mogul is only accepting video applications uploaded directly onto YouTube.

Mr. Combs, now known simply as "Diddy", posted a "help wanted" ad on the popular video website hoping to entice the younger generation to help him find a suitable replacement for his long-time personal assistant. (Source: nytimes.com)

In the past, the job has entailed such laborious tasks as holding Diddy's umbrella for him in the rain and chaperoning his very own hip-hop group "Da Band".

Outside of the YouTube forum, Mr. Combs failed to give his reasons for choosing to interview potential applicants online instead of posting his employment notice on a more standard job recruiting website like Monster.com.

His video post told a different story.

"It's a new age, new time, new era" he proclaimed in his initial posting. The first post was a minute-and-a-half tirade of how potential applicants could "forget coming into the office and having a meeting with him and being all nervous". (Source: news.com.com)

All audition posts should be no longer than three minutes and must explain why the candidate believes he/she is deserving of the job.

Initially, the position was opened to anyone with a little creativity and a camera, but Mr. Combs has since narrowed the field to only those applicants with a college degree. He announced this change via a second video posting saying "Boys and girls, let me tell you, stay in school!"

The two short video posts failed to give an accurate description of what exactly the job entails or provide any list of suitable qualifications for potential candidates.

Many of those who have followed Diddy's career over the years have said that the job can be very demanding. Despite this widespread fear, over 10,000 people have already sent in video posts inquiring about the position. (Source: nytimes.com)

YouTube subscribers will help Diddy narrow the field to only a few select finalists by voting for their favorites on Diddy.com.

Mr. Combs will ultimately have the final say in picking the winner.
