Google Pages: Free Webhosting

A few weeks ago, I was offered a chance to try out one of the many free services that Google is developing. The service is Google Page Creator and it's main purpose seems to be making it really easy to create your own web pages. Take a peek at my Google Page here.

The great thing about it is that you don't have to learn HTML or even worry about paying a web host to have your own web site! From Google.com:

" Create your own web pages, quickly and easily. Google Page Creator is a free online tool that makes it easy for anyone to create and publish useful, attractive web pages in just minutes. No technical knowledge required. Build high-quality web pages without having to learn HTML or use complex software. What you see is what you'll get. Edit your pages right in your browser, seeing exactly how your finished product will look every step along the way. Don't worry about hosting. Your web pages will live on your own site at http://yourgmailusername.googlepages.com. Google Page Creator is a Google Labs project, and is still in an early testing phase. " (Source: google.com)

There is one catch.

You have to have a free email account at Gmail in order to get a Google Page and you can only get a Gmail account by being invited by an existing holder of a Gmail account or giving them a cell phone number.

No problem ...

If you would like a free 2.7 Gigabyte Gmail account, just email me and let me know. I've got a few hundred of the invitations to give away, so if you want two of them, just ask. ;-)
