Paranoid about your PC or laptop data? One way to protect your machine is to lock it using a simple USB drive which can be used in the same way you use your key to turn on your car. Predator locks your PC when you are away, even if your Windows session is still opened. It uses a regular USB flash drive as an access control device. Free for non-commercial use.

Have you ever typed a document on a laptop and accidentally hit the touchpad with your palm? If so, then you know it's annoying to have your cursor position move to a random location because of an inadvertent bump. TouchFreeze is simple utility for Windows NT/2000/XP that solves this problem. It automatically disables touchpad while you are typing text, similar to syndaemon on x-windows.
