Whether you're working at home or at a remote location, the steps below will make administrating MS Word a breeze by placing commonly used controls at your fingertips.

In this lesson, you'll learn how to:

  • Always show full menus

  • Show the Standard and Formatting toolbars on two rows

  • List Font Names in their own font

  • Show Screen Tips on toolbars

Below are the steps to make that happen:

  1. Open Word if you haven’t already done so and Click on Tools and select Customize.

  2. In the dialog box that opens, select the Options tab.

  3. Make sure there is a check mark next to Always show full menus.

  4. Check the box next to Show Standard and Formatting toolbars on two rows.

  5. Check the box next to List font names in their font.

  6. Check the box next to Show Screen Tips on toolbars.

  7. Click Close.
That's it!
