Kazaa downloads are slow?

" Dear Dennis,
I just surfed in and read your article on Kazaa Lite ... RE: '[On] October 16, 2002, [the feature article of] the Gazette proposed the question of whether or not Kazaa (Sharman Networks) implemented some sort of bandwidth cap on downloads. '
I use the full version of Kazaa: only recently, I've had problems downloading. I seem to always get the message 'Need more sources', which stops any downloading. I've tried other source searching, but get the same result almost every time. I have tons of files to share and am listed as Superior Being, [so there is no reason why my downloads should be capped in any way] ... [I am also trying to download Kazaa Lite to see if my issue goes away, but am unable to find the link]. Can you help? "
My response:
Recall: Kazaa Lite is a stripped down / reverse engineered version of Kazaa that contains no Spyware, Adware, Banner ads, or PopUp advertisements. The new version of Kazaa Lite (K++) v2.43 has something called "SpeedUp" which automatically tries to acquire more sources for a download after X minutes (it's user definable).
As per your question:
I'm not sure why the Kazaa downloads appear to be halting. It could be that you are experiencing an intermittent problem -- perhaps due to [Internet] network congestion (due to peak times / problems with the Kazaa network, or Spyware / email Virus is sucking all your bandwidth). It may also be possible that your Internet Service Provider (ISP) is monitoring your bandwidth usage and is somehow limiting your transfers.
Any scenario is plausible. The truth is that no one else has emailed me about this problem (as of late), and the issue of "capped Kazaa download speeds" has already been addressed. FYI: As far as I know, Kazaa Lite K++ sets the user participation level to "Supreme Being", regardless of how many files you are sharing with other members. The result is that you are able to download from other Kazaa members without any bandwidth restriction.
