Firefox 3 Hammers Records... That Never Existed

Our own Ian Paul recently reported the release of Firefox 3, the much anticipated new web browser from Mozilla. After some time in circulation, it's receiving some very impressive reviews and equally impressive download numbers: 8.3 million copies ... the first day. The staggering download numbers have attracted the good people of Guinness World Records, although the record still needs to be verified, which could take a few days. Impressive? Not when you consider that Guinness has never before recorded such a record, and it took Mozilla needling them for anyone to take much notice. Still, it's ... (view more)

Prevent MS Outlook from Entering the Country Field in MS Word

Using MS Word for your correspondence is usually so easy you don't even have to think about it. Some folks actually make it easier for themselves by using their Outlook Address Book. Convert Tape to CD: Recording in Mono?

Infopackets Reader Dion E. writes: " Dear Dennis, I am trying to convert a tape to CD by transferring the audio to my computer, and then recording it to CD using my CD burner. To convert the tape to CD, I am using an audio cable to go from my ... earphone jack of my tape player to the sound card of my computer. The problem is that my computer is recording the tape audio in 1-channel mono sound (and not stereo!). I am reasonably sure that the original recording is in 2-channel stereo. What should I do?
