Single Character Could Crash Windows PC

A single character from ancient English could crash a Windows 10 PC, thanks to an odd security glitch. It's been patched in the most recent Windows updates, making it an important fix for those who download updates manually. The bug appears to work ... in most major browsers and involves the Æ symbol. Adding Special Symbols to the Number Format: MS Excel

You can add special symbols to the number format in Excel, such as symbols that are not included in the currency or accounting formats. The "CHAR" formula displays the symbol; to add a symbol to the new format you create, copy the symbol to the Type ... box. For example, to create a format with the Euro symbol: Enter the formula =CHAR(128) in the cell. Press F2 and F9 to delete the formula and leave the value in the cell. In the Formula bar, select the € symbol, and press Ctrl+C (copy). Select another cell. Press Ctrl+1. Select the Number tab, and choose Custom. Find and Replace Special Character Symbols: MS Word

You're almost at the end of drafting your document when you realize that you used the registration symbol (®) throughout, instead of the copyright symbol (©). You would think you could simply go to Edit | Find and replace all instances of the ® sy ...mbol with the © symbol; unfortunately, it's not that easy. The problem is that when the Find And Replace dialog box is open, Word's menus and toolbars are unavailable, making it difficult to find and replace symbols in your document. Add Bullet Symbols to your Toolbar: MS PowerPoint

If you create PowerPoint presentations on a regular basis, you undoubtedly write in point-form. To 'spruce up' the presentation, PowerPoint allows you to insert graphics and symbols for each point. One great way to save time inserting these symbols ... is to simply add an icon to the toolbar.
