New Botnet Worm 'Psyb0t' Targets Modems, Routers

A new type of worm has been reported to infect 55 different home-based routers and DSL/cable modems has been discovered. Originating in Australia, Psyb0t, is the first worm capable of infecting residential routers and modems, including common brands ... like Linksys and Netgear. Worm Attack Causes Army To Ban USB Drives

In what's being described as a sustained attack from a rapidly spreading network worm, the U.S. army has reportedly banned the use of USB sticks, CDs, flash media cards, and all other removable data storage devices in attempts to prevent infections ... from spreading any further. So, why do I get bombarded with email viruses more than the average Joe? The answer to my dilemma is compound. The Kazaa Worm Virus -- Explorer.SCR

There is a nasty worm (virus) making its way through the Kazaa file sharing network . On Friday, a friend called me up and told me that his "C drive" was full and that he couldn't do anything with his computer. So, I hopped in my car, drove over to ... his place, and cleaned up some temporary files on his system. I freed up about 400 meg or so on his C drive. Satisfied with the results, I went home.
