Change the Default Font: MS Word

MS Word's default font is Times New Roman (12-point), a readable serif font suitable for most personal and business text. This default font setting is fine for most applications, but perhaps you'd like to distinguish your documents from ... run-of-the-mill by using a different font, such as Verdana. Rather than continually having to change the font for all your documents, you can change the default font (once) via your preferences: There's no need to select text. Simply choose Format | Font and click the Font tab. Set the options you want to use as a default. Click the Default button. This opens ... (view more)

Enhance Characters: MS Word

These formatting options are used much less often, so they don't need to be placed on the toolbar. Nevertheless, you ... (view more)

Shopping for an LCD monitor, Part 2

Last week, I left you with some thoughts on my LCD Monitor purchasing experience. If you didn't catch the first part of the article, you can read about it here . The article from last week signed off with a cliff-hanger, where I was about to tell ... about some things that I didn't like about my LCD monitor. RE: LCD Native Resolution While I was completely amazed out how crystal clear my LCD monitor was at 1280 x 1024 resolution*, the fact is that the LCD monitor looks crystal-clear *only* at this resolution. Outlook Express sends multiple emails to a recipient when an image is attached

Since we're on the topic of Outlook Express, I thought I'd add more coal to the fire and ask the Infopackets Readers for yet another problem that I do not have the solution to. Here is what Harold S. says about his problem: " When I go to send out ... my pictures as an attachment (using Outlook Express), the recipient receives anywhere from 5+ of the same email (from me) in a row. I checked for a virus several different ways, and found none. I also found that the I cannot change the font size, change the colors in the font, and plagued by several other minor things I can't change and it all ... (view more)
