Convert A PowerPoint Presentation to HTML

Sometimes you create a great PowerPoint presentation and just wish you had the expertise to convert it to HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) so that you can put it on your Web page. It doesn't require a whole lot of expertise.

Follow the steps below to learn how:

1. Launch MS PowerPoint if it is not already open.
    
2. Open the PowerPoint presentation you would like to convert to HTML.
    
3. Put all finishing touches on the slides and notes area if you have speaker notes.
    
4. From the File menu, select Save as Web Page.
    
5. Click Publish in the center of the dialog box.
    
6. In the Publish as Web Page dialog box, make the following selections: Complete Presentation.
    
7. Display Speaker Notes.
    
8. Click the Pictures tab.
    
9. From the drop-down list, choose 640 x 480 or 800 x 600 to be certain that your presentation fits in every browser.
    
10. Click OK. Under Browser Support, select All browsers listed above.
     
11. Under Publish a copy as, click Browse.
     
12. In the Publish As dialog box, navigate to the folder where you want the HTML files to be saved.
     
13. Enter the file name.
     
14. Click OK to accept the location.
     
15. Click Publish to convert the presentation to HTML.

Once published, you will notice there are two new files/folders.

One will be the file you created in step 13.

The other will be a folder containing all the needed parts for the PowerPoint presentation to be viewed via the Web.
