Desklock
Desklock does just as it sounds: it's a program designed to stop the moving around of desktop icons.

Hide Desktop
This one is also pretty self-explanatory. Hide Desktop masks all of your various desktop items with the mouse pointer is headed elsewhere. Both programs are certainly simple, but definitely cool, and can be had by visiting donationcoder.com.
